Principal's Message

Good Afternoon Parents/Carers,

Welcome to Term 3.  It was great to see all of our students back and settled in so quickly.   Week 1 is quite a busy week and I look forward to a productive term.

NAPLAN Results

NAPLAN results have arrived and will be sent home today.

100 Days of Kindergarten

On Wednesday, 24th July we will celebrate Kindergarten students being at school for 100 days.  This is a great milestone for our Kinder Students who are enjoying their learning. Congratulations Kindergarten on your first 100 days. 

UNE Science Activities

The University of New England will be visiting us this Thursday, 25th July with an entertaining and interactive display of all things Science.  We thank the team at UNE for visiting Werris Creek Public School.  

Small Schools Soccer Knockout 

This Friday, 26th July, Mr Wilcox will accompany some of our students in Years 3-6 to Gunnedah for the Small School Soccer Knockout.  Please ensure that your child's permission note is back to Mr Wilcox by tomorrow.

NRL Inspire Health & Wellbeing Program

The NRL will be visiting our school next Wednesday 31st July to deliver their health & wellbeing program to our Yrs 3-6 students.  Information on this program can be located in our Important Information & Events section of the newsletter or at their website: www.NRL.com

Zone Athletics Carnival

We have 28 students who have been selected to compete in the Zone Athletics Carnival on Thursday 1st August (Week 2).  Notes will be sent home this week.  Good Luck to those students competing.
