Grandparents' Day - Friday 26th July
One of the happiest and biggest days on our school calendar is Grandparent's Day and this will be celebrated this Friday 26th July. Our K-6 Grandparent's assembly will begin at 12.30pm in the Primary Campus Hall, followed by a picnic lunch and games on the school oval afterwards. We invite all of our Nans, Pops, Grandmothers and Grandfathers to come along and join us on this special day where we have the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to God for these wonderful people in our lives. We hope you can attend!
In the event of rainy weather, the assembly will still go ahead at 12:30pm. However, the picnic will be cancelled.

Our next St Ed's P & F Meeting will be held in the Primary Campus Staffroom on Tuesday 30th July at 5.30pm. Once again, we warmly welcome all parents and carers to come along and become involved in this important facet of school life, especially any of our new parents! We look forward to seeing you there.
Supervision of Students
A reminder that school commences at 8.45am and ends at 3.00pm.
Please note that supervision of students commences at 8.15am and families are kindly asked not to drop off children before this time. It is not appropriate for children to be at school before this time with no supervision. If your child/ren require care before 8.15am you may like to consider before school care here at school with Esteem.
Change in Afternoon Routine
If there is any change in your child's afternoon routine, parents and carers are asked to please phone either school office before 2.30pm, thank you.
Attendance
Parents and Carers of students who have not explained their child/ren's absence for the day will receive an automated text message and an email at 10:00am from the administration staff at school. The message is consistent across the diocese.
Parents of students with unexplained absences who have not explained their absence for the week will receive an email every Friday at 11:00am from the Principal. The message is consistent across the diocese.
If you drop your child/ren off at school after 8:45am and you don't come into the office to sign them in, this will be an unexplained absence. They will be marked as present from the time they walk through the front gate but there will be that timeframe that is unexplained.
Whilst 90% attendance may seem reasonable, the impact over 6 years of education is substantial as per the table below.
Application for Extended Leave
Family holidays and travel are no longer considered under the Exemption from School Procedures. Travel outside of vacation periods is now counted as an absence for statistical purposes. Please contact the school office if your child/ren will be away from school for 10 days or more as an application form will need to be completed and approved at the discretion of the Principal.
Hope Kitchen
“HOPe Outreach are looking for additional volunteers to join their team to assist in HOPe’s ministry to the Rural Fire Service. HOPe , will use our food truck to provide meals to fire fighters, support staff, incident controllers & evacuees in fire emergencies around the Diocese. Training in food handling and the operation of the truck is provided free of charge to volunteers.
In order to keep the skills required and build team spirit, we also make our truck available to serve food & coffee at parish functions & fetes around the Diocese. Contact us if you will like the HOPe truck to come to your parish or school function!
Can you assist as a volunteer? Many employers provide paid leave for staff who volunteer to assist the RFS & SES in times of crisis or you may have time to volunteer out of work hours remembering that emergencies are not 9 to 5 events! If you are interested in joining this amazing team, or to make an enquiry about the work of HOPe, please email your details and we will be in touch with you. God Bless one and all.
Deacon Paul Manvell – Heart Of Peace”
