Term 3 - Week 10 - Friday 15th September
As we bid farewell to another fantastic term, I am thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey of learning and growth that our students have embarked upon. It has been a term filled with exciting adventures, creative expressions, and memorable experiences, and I couldn't be prouder of our Mitcham community.
One of the undeniable highlights of this term was our Grade 3/4 Camp to Narmbool. Our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, learn valuable outdoor skills, and forge friendships that will last a lifetime. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers and who made this experience not only possible but truly unforgettable.
Another remarkable event that brought joy and enthusiasm to our school was the celebration of Book Week. It was heartwarming to witness our students dive into the enchanting world of books and storytelling. Their creativity and enthusiasm were inspiring, and I believe we have ignited a passion for reading that will continue to flourish, it was certainly visible yesterday when our Prep students celebrated their love of books and fairytales with a dress up day a hip hop fairytale ball.
But perhaps the most spectacular highlight of the term was our school production of "The Little Mermaid Jr". Our students, with their incredible talents, dedication, and hard work, delivered a performance that left us all in awe. The production was a testament to the power of teamwork, creativity, and the magic of the performing arts. I want to extend my gratitude to all the students, teachers, and parents who made this production a resounding success and most importantly to Ms Caitlin Kolokathis, our Performing Arts teacher whose endless enthusiasm and positivity drove the entire show.
As we now head into a well-deserved holiday break, I want to wish all our Mitcham families a safe and restful time together. It's an opportunity to recharge, create memories, and rejuvenate for the exciting challenges that await us in the next term.
I am confident that the next term will be filled with even more opportunities for learning, growth, and fun. Together, as a strong and supportive Mitcham community, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our school. I look forward to seeing you all back next term!
Happy Holidays!
Warm regards,
Erin
