Year 1 Gymnastics

On Friday the 1st of September, the Year One students went on an excursion to The Y Leisure City in Epping. While there the students participated in a variety of gymnastics activities. These activities allowed the students to explore fundamental gymnastics skills such as running, jumping, skipping, rolling, acrobatics and safe landings. 

 

On one of the bars we climbed up and across and we jumped into a big round tunnel. It was fun- Rachael 1MM

 

They had Spiderman ropes where we had to get a partner and see who could hold on the longest- Lennox 1MM

 

I really loved the trampoline because I could do rocket jumps on it- Bhishak 1MM

 

The balance beam was really fun because you had to balance- Tahani 1MM

 

I learned new skills. I can flip over on the trampoline- Diekolope 1ST

 

I liked doing the monkey shuffle on the bars- Kaleb 1ST

 

We got to swing on the bars- Litiana 1ST

 

I liked going on the hanging rope- Jacob 1ST

 

I liked doing the front flip on the bars- Arnoor 1HJ

 

I liked the rings where our legs were up in the and we were upside down- Zoe 1HJ

 

I liked the rope because it helps you to climb and you can swing on it- Zak 1HJ

 

I liked going on the bars and swinging- Sam 1HJ

 

I did a hanging completion with my group- Haru 1TB

 

I played on the trampoline- Claire 1TB

 

I went on the trampoline- Ollie 1TB

 

I did rope climbing- Elia 1TB

 

I went to gymnastics with everyone in my class! We had so much fun. Everyone went on the bus. On the bars I swung high and low. On the trampoline I did rocket jumps- Aishwarya 1CM

 

At Gymnastics I held onto the big rope for 27 or 28 seconds. I did some rocket jumps on the trampoline and at the end I landed with my body like a motorcycle- Bentley 1CM
