Surfside Concert

Hello everyone,

Excitement is building as the concert draws near! Our amazing students have diligently prepared their musical performances, and our budding actors are eager to take the stage and display their acting skills.

To ensure everyone is well-prepared for the grand event, we have scheduled a whole-school run-through of the concert. This rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, August 30th. During this run-through, we will simulate the actual performance in our courtyard, following the exact sequence of events. Please note that this rehearsal won't have an audience present. The morning session, starting at 8:45 AM until recess, will feature the performers from Night 1. Subsequently, the performers from Night 2 will take the stage between recess and lunch. I kindly request the actors to bring their costumes for the dress rehearsal, allowing them to get comfortable with their outfits on stage. Grades are not required to wear their costumes during the run-through; the surprise element will be saved for the actual performance nights.

Ticket Details: There is no cost for tickets for our concert but we welcome a gold coin or small dontation on the night to support our Arts program. Tickets will be limited to 2 tickets per family. Tickets will be available from Monday morning and will close on Friday 1st September. If you have a younger sibling that needs to attend they will need to sit on your lap. If you have a younger school aged sibling we will have a kids corner for them to sit and watch the performance. Ticket limits are due to space restrictions. We advise parents/carers to arrive from 4.45pm for a 5.00pm start time. We will be providing a live stream with setails released closer to the event.

A quick reminder of the concert dates and timings:

- Night 1 Performance: Tuesday, September 5th

- Night 2 Performance: Wednesday, September 6th

Both evenings promise to be truly magical, with performances taking place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We kindly request parents and guardians to arrive by 4:45 PM to ensure a smooth seating process.

The culmination of our students' hard work and dedication is something we eagerly anticipate. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we can't wait to witness the brilliance of our students' efforts during the concert.

Warm regards,

Mr Morzinek and Mr Murphy
