Book Week 19- 25 August

Book Week is about celebrating the joy of reading, especially for kids. Did you know it started in 1945? Back then, children's books in Australia were rare. This year, the theme is 'read, grow and inspire.' Our staff have shared books that have inspired them to celebrate this theme. Happy reading! 📚🌟

On Monday, August 21st, we have our POPS Book character parade. Students are encouraged to come dressed as a book character or as something related to a book they have read. There will be no formal assembly Monday morning due to the book character parade.  The parade will begin at 9:10 am in the School gym. Storytime visitors will be invited to watch the parade and then engage in a short Storytime session in the library afterwards.

National Day of Action against Bullying August 18

On Monday, all students participated in a Poppy Tribes session. Our year six student leaders conducted the session and talked with the younger students about what good friends do, what bullying is, and what to do if you are bullied or witness bullying. Students completed a Bullying 'strategy hand' to take home and discuss with their parents. The leaders also discussed 'Poppy Says No Way to Bullying' poster. All parents are encouraged to discuss the poster with their children. 

Tomorrow is the National Day of Action against Bullying. Thank you to the Student Wellbeing team, Miss Brincat, Miss Munforte, Ms McRae, Mr Grecea, Mrs Kaur and Mrs Quah for organising such an engaging Poppy Tribes Session.

Parents' Association Update

Celebrating Student Achievements

Jack Collie (5M)- Congratulations, Jack for competing in the Little Athletics Victoria 2023 State Cross-Country Championships in the Under 10 Boys final. Held at Lake Dewar Lodge, Myrniong. Jack came 58th out of 83 top athletes across the state and ran a PB 🏃🏽.
