And that’s Term 3! What an massive term it has been!

OSHC update

As we announced last week, we are currently in the process of identifying a new OSHC provider for Marlborough Primary School from 2024. Camp Australia will continue to provide holiday programs and their normal before and after school care during Term 4 2023.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact me or any members of School Council.

Principal update

As per my Compass update this morning, I’m pleased to be able to announce that Tim Mulhall has been provisionally appointed as the Principal at Marlborough Primary School for the next five years.

Tim comes from a strong background of educational improvement as a Teaching Partner with the Department of Education, and most recently, through a secondment at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Learning as a Master Teacher.

In talking with him this week, he is excited about the opportunity to join the Marlborough Primary School community.

Tim will commence his role on 2nd October which is the first day of Term 4. He will also be attending assembly tomorrow, which will start at 1.40pm.

As part of the principal selection panel, it was important that we found the right person for the role of principal at MPS, and we are confident that Tim is that person.

Please join me in thanking Katherine Bolton for her short but impactful time at MPS as Acting Principal. We have all benefited from her kind and caring nature, and strategic leadership, and wish her the very best for the future.

Finally, thank you to all members of the MPS community for their patience and kindness as we have navigated the last 18 months.

Wishing you all a safe and relaxing school holidays!

Kind regards,

Clare

Voluntary parent payment reminder

A gentle reminder to any families that have not made their voluntary parent payments – it’s not too late to do so!!

Within our school these voluntary contributions have allowed us to organise and coordinate the best possible programs outside of the traditional teaching and learning classroom structure.

These financial contributions assist us with the purchasing of art, science and physical education equipment and resources, to purchase robotics resources such as the BeeBots and Spheros and invest in decodable books that support our whole school Science of Reading literacy approach.

Cheers,

Clare
