Staffing Updates:
We are very excited to welcome David Kight into 5/6A for Term 4. David comes highly recommended with a wealth of experience. We are sure he will be a wonderful support to our students and an asset to our community.
We thank Kirsten Moran for her support with 5/6A this term. She will be continuing with us as a CRT into the future and we are very happy that Kirsten will continue to be a part of our school community.
I am also thrilled to announce that Caroline Bowen will be taking 5/6B on Thursdays and Fridays, and Peter Moore will continue in the classroom Monday-Wednesday. Caroline brings a vast experience and warm nature that will help our 5/6 students to learn and grow in Term 4.
We have appointed another staff member to the education support team, Bonnie Ma, who will support our Foundation classroom in Term 4. Bonnie is an enthusiastic individual who comes highly recommended.A huge thank you to the amazing Tracy Mullenger who stepped in while we found someone for the role.
Lee Watson is recovering well at home and will be back with us ready to start Term 4. He thanks everyone for their kind messages.
Lisa Mackney will be taking 3 weeks long service leave at the start of next term. We are very happy to announce that Victoria Sumskas will be taking the class for this time. We wish Lisa happy and safe travels. Pippa Davis will be returning from long service leave ready for a term 4 start.
We also say goodbye to Natalie Arundel who has lead our tutor learning program and supported our community throughout the year. We wish her and her family all the best.
We also say a huge thank you to Rebecca Trevillian who joined our education support team this term to cover Nicole while she has been on leave and will return for Term 4. Rebecca has been a fantastic help and we sincerely thank her for all her efforts and hard work.
Sleep Over & Breakfast:
The Grade 1 dinner, Grade 2 sleepover and Prep breakfast was an amazing success! We are so proud of how well the Grade 2 students went sleeping through the night! A massive thank you to all of the teachers and helpers that helped to make this event happen. Well done all!
Premier's Reading Challenge:
The Premier's Reading Challenge finished last week and students who completed the challenge will be awarded their certificates at Friday's assembly. A special mention to Maria Kyriakos, who with 83 completed books read the most books in the school. Well done Maria and all 28 students who completed the challenge! It is always brilliant to see students who love reading.
Breakfast Club:
Breakfast Club has been a huge success this term and we thank Christina and Natalie, as well as the teachers and parents that volunteered their time to help. Next term, we will be moving breakfast club to Wednesday mornings from Week 2 onwards. In Week 1 breakfast club will go ahead on Thursday as per usual. Jeanette will be running breakfast club in Term 4.
Holiday Works:
Our new front playground and beautiful mural will commence work over the school holidays. We are very excited to see these new updates completed when we return in Term 4. A big thank you to all who have contributed to make these updates possible.
Thank you and Farewell:
I would love to extend a huge thank you to everyone in the Marlborough Primary School community for making me feel so welcomed during my time here. You are such a beautiful community and it really was a privilege to be a part of your school. There are lots of exciting things happening and I know the future will be bright for Marlborough Primary School!
