August Library Statistics

CONGRATULATIONS 2B!! Your class borrowed the MOST books (AGAIN!!), 99 books for the month!! Well done 2B! You continue to be borrowing superstars :) Followed closely by 4Q with a whopping 80 books borrowed. In total there were 768 books borrowed in August, up from 286 in July. Keep up the amazing reading everyone.

The most popular book borrowed in August was 'The Stonekeeper's Curse' by Kazu Kibuishi. This senior graphic novel was borrowed 8 times. The Stonekeeper's Curse is the second volume in the Amulet series. 

Graphic novels are ideal for reluctant readers due to their visual storytelling. The combination of artwork and concise text engages readers, aiding comprehension and encouraging a love for reading. The format reduces intimidation, boosts confidence, and offers an accessible entry point into narratives, making reading an enjoyable experience.

Scholastic returns credits to the school for us to purchase new books for our library and our in-class reading. The Scholastic Book Club books are very popular and make great gifts.
