DISTRICT ATHLETICS: Congratulations to our team of 47 athletes who competed in the Ringwood District Track and Field Carnival on Monday 28th August at Bill Sewart Athletics Track, East Burwood.
Students competed in their age groups and were up against the best athletes from 10 schools that make up our District. These schools include Tintern Grammar, Sacred Heart, Tintervale, Warranwood, Ringwood North, Bayswater North, Dorset, Yarra Road and Holy Spirit.
It was a cold and foggy start to the day but when the sun eventually came out, it was perfect track and field conditions. The team did exceptionally well placing 1st in Track events, 3rd in Field events, 2nd in ball games and 2nd in the Aggregate (overall) by only 3 points to the winning school. What an amazing effort, GO TEAM POPS!

Congratulations to the above students who now qualify for the Maroondah Division Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 4th October at Bill Sewart Athletics Track.
Well done to all students who competed at District. I’m very proud of your effort, determination, resilience and most importantly, sports-personship. I saw lots of cheering and encouragement from others. Good luck to the students representing our school at Division!
I would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE THANK-YOU to Mrs Belinda Palframan and Mr Rob Sprague who assisted at the Boys Shot Put event for the entire carnival and also to Mrs Melanie Samargis who was the starter's assistant for track events. Also thank you to Mrs Quah, Mrs Ingle and Miss Munforte for directing students to their events.
