Whilst still two months away, please be aware that there will be a student free day on Monday November 6th (Melbourne Cup eve).

Experiential Learning

Last Friday for Experiential Learning we had to think on feet once we were informed that blue green algae was found in Lake Wallace, scuppering our plans for our joint fishing expedition with Balmoral Community College. Fortunately, we had previously been contacted by Clint Rokebrand offering us the opportunity to plant 4 – 500 native trees on their farm. We took this up and our students were certainly up to the challenge. Our students demonstrated team work and a very strong work ethic in completing the task, getting the job done before lunch. From the Rokebrand’s we departed for Bailey’s Rocks for lunch, rock scrambling and of course a game of hide and seek. Big thank you to  Stacey and Wayne Dubois for supplying the team with sausages (and intel RE the blue green algae). For an impromptu day, it was another great opportunity to see the students working together, representing themselves, their community and the College.
