Child Safe & Wellbeing
Safety, Respect and Learning
As we approach the holiday period, it is a timely reminder about the routines and structures we have in our homes to maintain a sense of calm and predictability. Below are a list of ideas and prompts in supporting the wellbeing of your children, your family and yourself.

To Promote Wellbeing:
Limit Screen Time
Keep mealtimes and wake-up times consistent to support your children's circadian rhythm and overall health, especially before term starts again.
Engage in fun physical activities together, like cycling or playing sports, which boosts mood and mental health.
Ensure everyone is eating nutritious food and getting enough sleep, which is essential for both mental and physical wellbeing.
Schedule a mix of activities, including downtime for relaxation and spontaneous play, to prevent burnout.
Plan playdates or gatherings with friends and family to strengthen social bonds and foster a sense of belonging.

Explore relaxation techniques and activities like board games or crafts to manage stress.
Monitor and manage online use closely, as it can contribute to anxiety and disruptions in routine.
