Safety, Respect and Learning

Things to Consider in the School Holidays in Supporting your Child and Family.

To Promote Wellbeing:

  • Maintain Routine
  • Encourage Physical Activity
  • Prioritise Healthy Habits
  • Balance Activities
  • Connect Socially
  • Mindful Activities
  • Limit Screen Time

Keep mealtimes and wake-up times consistent to support your children's circadian rhythm and overall health, especially before term starts again.

Engage in fun physical activities together, like cycling or playing sports, which boosts mood and mental health.

Ensure everyone is eating nutritious food and getting enough sleep, which is essential for both mental and physical wellbeing.

Schedule a mix of activities, including downtime for relaxation and spontaneous play, to prevent burnout.

Plan playdates or gatherings with friends and family to strengthen social bonds and foster a sense of belonging.

Explore relaxation techniques and activities like board games or crafts to manage stress.

Monitor and manage online use closely, as it can contribute to anxiety and disruptions in routine.
