Deputy Principal's Message

Deputy Principal’s Report – Years 7, 8 and 9
As we come to the end of this term, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the efforts and achievements of our Year 7, 8, and 9 students. It has been a busy and rewarding term, filled with opportunities across many areas of school life.
Our students have embraced both academic and extracurricular pursuits with enthusiasm. Many have demonstrated academic growth through their check-in assessments, and our Year 9 students have taken their first steps towards their future pathways by beginning their work experience journey.
Sport has also been a major highlight. Students across Years 7–9 have proudly represented Kellyville High at a range of sporting events, including partner primary school athletics carnivals, and have taken on roles such as refereeing PSSA games—showing not only skill but also a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.
The creative and performing arts continue to flourish, with students showcasing their talents in our CAPA ensembles. Leadership has also been at the forefront this term, with students putting themselves forward for selection, reflecting their commitment to our school community.
Year 7 successfully completed the RIOT programme, helping them to build resilience and positive connections. In addition, all students benefitted from engaging presentations by Senior Constable Glenn Clarke, who provided important insights into safety and wellbeing.
It has also been heartening to see Year 8’s commitment to service through their UNO competitions, raising funds for their chosen charity and highlighting the positive impact that teamwork and creativity can bring.
I am very proud of the achievements of our Year 7–9 students and the way they continue to strengthen their connections within the school community. Their efforts, whether on the sporting field, in the classroom, or through leadership and service, demonstrate the values we hold at Kellyville High.
I look forward to seeing them continue to grow and succeed as we move into the final term for 2025.
