Principal's Item 

Dear parents, carers and friends of EEPS,

I am excited to be writing to you this week as Acting Principal, in Warren’s absence. The week certainly started so well with the Stretto Strings performance at assembly on Monday. It is always uplifting when we have musical performances.

Father’s Day

I do hope that all our families had a lovely Father’s Day on Sunday. Whilst the day traditionally focuses on dad’s and male family figures, we appreciate that our community is diverse and hope that Sunday was a loving day of celebration for all families. Hopefully all our dads and special persons enjoyed the handmade art pieces that came home. 

Staff News

We warmly welcome Mrs Pauline Farrell to Eltham East to teach in the Year 5 and 6 team. Pauline is an experienced teacher, with a diverse range of life experiences and we are grateful that Pauline has joined our teaching staff. 

Kids Teaching Kids Conference

Last Thursday the school was delighted to take part in the ‘Kids Teaching Kids’ conference at Edendale Farm. It was a great day for our School Leaders and JSC Representatives. Thank you to Mrs Jackson for organising this opportunity, which was certainly full of a lot of learning. 

Premiers’ Reading Challenge

The Premiers' Reading Challenge is officially over for another year! This year EEPS logged a total of 14,110 books and had 321 students complete the challenge. All students who completed the challenge will receive a special certificate next term to recognise their efforts and a student from each year level will be awarded with a Premiers' Reading Challenge Champion badge for logging the most books for their year level. 

Parent and Carer Opinion Survey

Thank you to those parents who have completed the 2025 parent and carer survey. The survey is still open until the end of term so if you have a spare few moments, we do value your opinions and thoughts. Please see the separate Compass Newsfeed with the links and codes.

Thursday 11th September - ARTS Show 5.30-7.30 pm

Wednesday 17th September - 3 Way Conferences - Variation to School hours Day (students are only required at school for their conferences)

Friday 19th September - end of Term 3, 2.30 pm
