From the Principal

Thankful for so much ...
Showcase
I am thankful for the gifts and talents of the children involved in the performance, for Miss Mac and the teachers and staff who worked hard together to bring the performance together.
I am thankful to the parents who applied makeup, who adjusted costumes and supported their nervous children, and attended the performances.
Early Childhood Educators
We are blessed to have an amazing team of educators that guide, support and teach the children across our ELC (and School). This week we celebrated these staff and the work that they do.
We also acknowledge and are thankful for the OSHC team who provide care for many children across our community before and after school and during holiday periods.
Playground Changes
We are blessed to see the changing landscape in the outdoor learning and play spaces. That the weather has once again cleared for work to move full steam ahead. If you haven't seen the changes, please drop in for a look.
Independent Schools
I am thankful for the opportunity to choose a school for my children. We are blessed with many options in Australia. I am thankful that you have chosen Good Shepherd as a place to partner in the education of your child.
A new national report shows that Independent schools generate $45.7 billion for the economy each year and reduce government costs by more than $12.5 billion each year. This means families, like you, choosing an Independent school are not just investing in their child’s future, they are supporting jobs, regional development, and easing the burden on public education.
Independent schools across South Australia contributed $3.2 billion to Gross State Product and supported nearly 19,000 jobs.
Good Shepherd Lutheran School is proud to be part of an educational sector that delivers such wide-reaching benefits to our community and our country.
Relationships
I am blessed by the relationships that I am part of with Colleagues, parents and children. I am blessed by the stories that I hear of support that is happening around the school. I am thankful for the love and compassion that I see and hear in the interactions between children and staff as I move about the school.
I pray that there are many things that you can be thankful for and that the relationships that you have built or are developing at Good Shepherd provide you with a sense of belonging and home.
