Summer Uniform next term

The end of Term Three signals the end of winter uniform for 2025. Families are encouraged to check summer uniforms over the break, with a trip to Tara Uniforms, if necessary, prior to the commencement of Term Four. Particularly, hem lines on summer dresses may require attention, with some needing to be taken down to accommodate winter growth spurts.

All students will still require their blazer every Monday or Thursday for their Chapel services, and for significant formal events throughout the term, such as Year 12 Valedictory, Presentation Evening and Academic Awards Assemblies. All Year 10, 11 and 12 students will require their blazers on Monday 20 October for our Year 12 Academic Awards and Handover Assembly in Period 5, during the usual Senior Chapel time at St George’s Cathedral. This includes Year 12 students, who are not to wear their Leaver’s Jacket for this event.

E-scooter safety reminder for parents and students

We would like to remind the St George’s School Community about the legal age requirements for riding e-scooters. According to current legislation, students under the age of 16 are not permitted to ride e-scooters. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, St George’s will not allow any student under 16 to ride home on an e-scooter. If a student under the age of 16 arrives at school on an e-scooter, their parents will be contacted to arrange alternative transportation for the student's journey home and to collect the e-scooter at a convenient time. All e-scooters also require a helmet to be worn when riding them. Thank you for your cooperation in supporting our duty of care and helping us keep our students safe.

Time for Year 12s to shine

Across Term Four, we are holding many exciting school events, which are outlined on the calendar on our school website. The first two weeks of Term 4 are dedicated to welcoming our Year 12 students back from their Mock Exams and farewelling them at Valedictory as we send them into the imminent WACE Examination period and their journey post school. An invitation has been sent to all Year 12 families this week which outlines all the important information for this significant event on Wednesday 22 October.

Please note, due to the seating capacity at St George’s Cathedral, each graduate can be accompanied by a maximum of two guests. Families requiring additional tickets may request these through the Head of Year 11 & 12, Mr Tim Hayward and additional seating will be released where possible. Mr Hayward is to be emailed to request additional seats on thayward@stgeorges.wa.edu.au

Families of Year 12 students are reminded to complete their RSVP for Valedictory by 5.00pm on Monday 13 October so as to allow for catering for the event.

2026 Enrolment Requirements

A reminder that a full term’s notice is required for any change in enrolment status for current families for the 2026 school year.

As we plan for our 2026 classes, subject selections and elective offerings any change in enrolment for students across Year 7 – 11 should be addressed to the Principal, Mrs Tina Campbell on principal@stgeorges.wa.edu.au and received prior to the start of Term Four on Monday 13 October.

In 2026 we will be opening a new stream in Year 10. If you know of any families with whom you have connections who are looking for a change of school at this level, please do ask them to be in touch as soon as possible since places will be offered on a strictly limited basis.

Tours of the school and all discussions regarding the small number of year group places currently known to be available for a 2026 start can be arranged through our Enrolments Registrar, Mrs Aimee Thyer on enrolments@stgeorges.wa.edu.au

Tours and discussions regarding 2026 respective places can take place both during the holidays and term time.
