Our Year 12 ATAR Dance students recently completed their final Jazz Technique Examination, showcasing the breadth of their technical training and artistry. Students demonstrated their mastery across a wide range of locomotor and non-locomotor movement, integrating jazz fundamentals with precision and flair. Their work included pirouettes, a variety of kicks and leaps, and extended sequences, performed with control, strength, and commitment to stylistic detail.
The use of jazz terminology and correct technique highlighted their growth as dancers and reflected the high standards they have been striving for all year. We are incredibly proud of the way they approached this assessment with professionalism and determination. With this milestone now behind them, it is full steam ahead as they continue preparing for their final ATAR practical examinations.
Meanwhile, our Year 11 ATAR Drama class has been immersed in creative exploration as they prepare for their upcoming Practical Examinations and Monologue Assessment. Recently, students have been working on expression and tableaus, using physicality and vocal control to create powerful still images and performance moments. They also spent time behind the lens, experimenting with performance on camera, a process that brought both learning and laughter into the classroom.
This experience has strengthened their collegiality and class culture, with students showing remarkable support for one another. It has been inspiring to watch their confidence grow significantly, and the ensemble has developed a dynamic energy that will serve them well as they head into assessment season.

Our singers lit up the stage at the inaugural Vocal Showcase earlier this month, filling Level 2 with performances that truly reflected the incredible talent within our school community. Many thanks to Mr Euan MacMillan for all his hard work and dedication in creating this wonderful event.
Meanwhile, Electrocity have been hard at work in the 1.2 Studio, recording their newest singles in preparation for the 2026 Fringe Festival and continuing their tradition of creativity and innovation.
Music has also been at the heart of our community spirit, with contributions to the Mandela Charity Day Talent Show and the Valedictory Service early next term – both occasions where music lifts the atmosphere and brings people together.
Looking forward, our calendar is packed with exciting events:
AngliSchools Concert Band Day 27 October
Evensong
22 November
Sounds at Sunset
28 November
Carol Service
1 December
Festival of Music
Last Day of Term 4
Each event promises to showcase the hard work, passion, and artistry of our students.
It is a joy to see our musicians growing, performing, and sharing their gifts with the wider community.
