Year 11 & 12

Find your rhythm for revision

The upcoming holiday period is a time for Year 12s to balance a well-deserved rest with exam preparation and commitment to their studies. We encourage you to use the first week of the break to recharge and recover from the intensity of your mocks.

Spend time with friends and family, look after your wellbeing, and allow yourself the opportunity to rest. Then, as you move into the second week, it will be important to re-establish a steady rhythm of revision. Doing so will ensure you are ready to hit the ground running when Term Four begins and that you are well-positioned to approach your final exams with confidence.

For those students not sitting external exams, this holiday still represents an important stage of your journey. Take this time to rest as well, but also ensure that all course work and assessments are finalised. By completing everything now, you will be able to enjoy Term 4 with peace of mind, making the most of your final weeks as St George’s students without unnecessary stress or unfinished tasks hanging over you.

Whether you are preparing for WACE, finalising your courses, or simply reflecting on your time here, these last months at St George’s are precious. Make sure you strike the right balance of rest, preparation, and celebration so that you can finish your school journey with strength, pride, and positive lasting memories.

This term has been filled with assessments of every kind — tests, investigations, projects, essays and more. Each task has given Year 11s the chance to further develop not only subject knowledge but also the vital skills to build on for their final year of schooling. Managing academic commitments while also supporting one another and contributing to the life of the school has been admirable.

A particular congratulations must go to those who have been selected as part of the 2026 Student Leadership Team. This is an incredible achievement and reflects your commitment, character, and willingness to serve your school community. Equally, we commend every student who put themselves forward for leadership positions. The courage to nominate, share your vision, and step into the spotlight is a success in itself and each of you should be proud of your contribution to this important process. With all good wishes for the holidays.
