Y3 Forest Edge Camp
For the Week commencing Monday 20 November, Year 3 set off on their first school camp to Forest Edge. Half of the students attended Monday to Wednesday and the second half participated from Wednesday to Friday.
All the of the students were involved in lots of fun outdoor activities. The most popular ones being the twin flying fox, the waterslide and archery. It was wonderful to see students trying new experiences, making new friends and gathering altogether for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with lots having very healthy appetites and going back for seconds!
The whole group bush walk and campfire were memorable bonding experiences. Students were able to show their endurance for the very, very steep hill and displayed team spirit by encouraging their peers to keep going so all could meet up at the top together for a sighting of the beautiful view, and the surprise family of kangaroos. Sitting around the campfire after the big bush walk was a lovely way for students to share their reflections with the group on their special moments at camp for the day.
Exhausted kids, teachers, and parent helpers came back fulfilled from three days of fun, and undoubtedly will be looking forward to their next school camp!
A special mention to the Year 3 Parent Helpers - Elizabeth, Anthony, Lisa and Jenny. Thank you for giving up your valuable time for three days and coming to help us at the Forest Edge camp, we appreciated your support!
