Mille Feuille

This week Year 3 participated in their final week of  cooking for 2023.  We celebrated all the skills and knowledge that students have learnt this term by creating a dessert - 'Mille Feuille', translated this means 'a thousand sheets'.

Students carefully cut their pastry sheets with bread knives, baked them till golden brown and then after letting them cool, layered them carefully with thickened cream, raspberry chia jam and fresh strawberries and raspberries.

A delicate dusting of icing sugar over the top resulted in very artistic desserts, which were then devoured quickly.

Students will bring home their cooking journals to be able to utilise over the Christmas period, so we encourage them to cook with you at home and show you the skills that they have learnt.  We would also love them to return in term 1 for cooking classes with their journals to add to their recipe collection.

Thank you Year 3 for a wonderful term of cooking and we both look forward to seeing you in the kitchen in Term 1 next year.
