Science Room News

Chemistry

As the term progresses, it is wonderful to see our Prep - 6 students become immersed in Chemistry.  What with bath bombs, exploring pH, making paper with recycled scrap paper, building mini houses with natural materials, stretching lolly snakes, melting ice boats, melting crayons, making potions, dissolving calcium carbonate eggshells with vinegar, investigating Australia's natural resources, predicting and testing density in liquids, and more; it has been a very active time.

It is also wonderful to see our students go deeper with their science knowledge, researching information, watching mini documentaries, making connections, asking questions and discussing ideas. As they learn about resources, where they come from, how they are used and waste and energy problems, followed by seeking directions for smarter and greener choices, it's inspiring to see our students' enthusiasm.

Great work young Chemical Scientists!
