Maths

Over the last couple of weeks, students have been looking at numbers that are one more and one less to 20. 

We have also been learning more about the different combinations that can make 20 with a focus on part-part-whole. 

Literacy

During Reading and writing students have been developing their understanding of how author's use their words and other techniques to express their opinion to convince their audience to think or feel the same way about a certain topic. 

Writing Goals

During writing, students have been given independent goals to work towards during writing time. These goals include sounding out words, adding punctuation, adding detail and practising letter formation. We have seen lots of improvement in these areas with the help of focus groups, and students have been excited to have their own goal. 

2024 Transition and Kinder visit. 

During Term 4 all students have begun being involved in the Transition Visits to the Moriac Kinder. Students visited the Kinder and had the opportunity to chat to the Kinder kids about coming to Prep in 2024. We also got to have a little play. 

Prep - Two Athletics Carnival

On Thursday October 19, all P-2 students attended the 2023 Athletics Carnival at Landy Field. A hugely successful day where students got the opportunity to participate in such a variety of sports. A highlight to many was seeing all the smiles on the students faces during the relays in front of a huge Moriac crowd. A big thanks to all parents and helpers for your support on the day, without this the day wouldn't go ahead.
