Wellbeing at Moriac

Respectful, Responsible and Exceptional

Engaged Play Clubs

This term we have commenced our passive play lunch club program where students who may benefit from structured alternatives at lunch time have the option to participate in a range of clubs. These range from art and craft to gardening.

Pivot Check In's Term 4 have returned (Pilot Program)

Pivot check-ins have returned this term and we have been extremely proud the honestly and diligence our student demonstrate when completed the weekly check ins. These check in's provide opportunities for a deeper understanding to our students state of wellbeing and provide opportunities for follow up and discussions.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club will commence Week 5 and will be running 2 mornings a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:30 - 8:45. It is an opportunity for students to collect some food from ou grab and go food options. We look forward to using our AMAZING new breakfast cart!

Zones of Regulation

Zones of Regulation can now be seen in all teaching communities across the school, with students continuing to further develop and understanding of how these zones can be used to help them identify and regulate their emotions.

I have included below a presentation which has been used with some students to increase awareness and understanding.

Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships

This term as part of our Wellbeing curriculum, students will be continuing to look at the RRRR program specific to their grade level. Topics 7 & 8 will be covered throughout the term. Please see the link below for a copy of the teacher resource, to see topics and content being delivered.

Please see the parent engagement resource link below, to further your understanding of the RRRR program. This link also has some useful activities which can be done at home to support your child's social and emotional wellbeing.
