End of Year Celebration

Scroll down for detailed information on the Colour Run Event!

It is getting closer to the event of the year! This event is more than just the Colour Run and will consist of a community picnic, food, music, a Santa visit, and a chance for everyone to get together and celebrate the communities achievements this school year. The colour run event is for ALL students, despite if you raised money or not. Students must be accompanied by a family member and will remain under their supervision for the event.

Food & Drink Available

What is an event without food! This year there will be a BBQ, food trucks, Boost Juice and canteen snacks including ice-poles / ice-creams, popcorn and soft drink cans. Eftpos will be available at certain stands but please bring notes/change for the BBQ and canteen. If you don't fancy these options, families are welcome to pack a platter for the family. We encourage all students to bring their own water bottle. BYO alcohol is permitted.

Picnic Space:

This year we will be setting up chairs and picnic rugs on and around the oval so that families can observe the run and all of the action. Please bring along a picnic rug or deck chair and set up in this space.

Event Schedule:

The event will kick off at 4pm! Families are welcome to stay from the end of school bell. Each year level will run around the oval track for 10 minutes, going through obstacles and 4 colour stations. 2024 Foundation students are invited to join in and run with the Foundation group or their siblings year level.  Teachers will call out year levels so please be ready at these times!

  • 4:15-4:25- Year 1/2 Colour Run
  • 4:30-4:40: Year 3/4 Colour Run
  • 4:45-4:55: Year 5/6 Colour Run
  • 5:20 - Slime Time! The highest fundraisers will be sliming and colour bombing some unlucky teachers.
  • 5:30 onward: Families can enjoy a picnic dinner and celebrate

What should my child wear or pack?

The school day will be an out of uniform day so that students can wear their clothes ready for the colour run. This will allow families to stay at school from the final bell. We encourage students to wear:

  • A white T-shirt or very light clothing. The colour may lightly stain, so we encourage older clothing.
  • A hat if you don't want colour in your hair.
  • Running footwear
  • Sunglasses (if preferred)
  • Water Bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • A towel
  • Think about adding a colourful headband, wig, tutu, sunglasses or sweatband!

What if my child has a medical condition? (e.g. Asthma etc.)

For asthmatic children, ensure they have their Ventolin/Asmol and Spacer on them or a family member.  If you would like to know what is in the colour, please see the Material Safety Data Sheet below.

Want to help out?

The School Council and Fundraising Committee require a range of volunteers to help out in various ways including for set up, cooking the BBQ, selling food, working in the canteen and spraying colour at the students! We are hoping to make these short shifts so that families can watch their children run and enjoy the festivities. A sign up form will go out via Compass shortly. If you miss this, please feel free to contact the office who will pass on your details.

We can't wait for this huge colourful mess! Thank you, good luck and happy fundraising!
