Linda Buckeridge: Principal
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of accompanying a group of students as they performed at Casey Central for the official opening of the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal.
I was so proud of our students as they sang their Christmas songs for our local community. A big thank you to Ms Lisa Scott for her preparation and guiding our singers along the way. I look forward to also seeing them perform at Casey Manor next week!
However, not only did I get to see our singers perform last week, I also was able to attend the High Abilities Masterclass presentations at Bunjil Place. Our Masterclass students, under the leadership of Mr Hardev Singh, presented to families, staff and students from 8 schools in the Casey Central network. Their 'Recipe for Success' project was well received by all and the confidence and passion with which they presented their work was a sight to behold. Another very proud moment for me as Hillsmeade's Principal!
Thank you Mr Singh for leading our Masterclass throughout the year and giving this team of students such an exciting experience and opportunity.
Don't forget to support the SRC and come to school dressed as something starting with the letter of your first name! With all proceeds going to the "It's Okay not to be Okay" organisation, it is a very worthy cause.

We look forward to seeing our year level performances and enjoying an afternoon of celebration with our community.
A big thank you to our School Council members and all the work they do behind the scenes to support the running of our school. Next week we will have our final meeting for the year and acknowledge all that we have achieved. I'd specifically like to make a special mention of Michelle Dennison, our School Council President. Michelle has been a voice for the community and it has been a pleasure to work with her throughout 2024.
If you are interested in being on Council, new positions will be advertised early in 2025, so keep an eye out for the information and nominations.
