Maths Competiton 2024 

Excellent results in the Australian Mathematics Competition 2024 

On Tuesday the 6th August and Wednesday 7th August, the Australian Mathematics Competition was held for selected Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6  students. We were so pleased with the HUGE number of entries this year and that so many students had a growth mindset in Mathematics. I am proud of ALL the students who entered the competition but special mention must go to these students who achieved sensational results. 

These eleven Grade 3 students each received an excellent result of a Credit: Sebastian Aguirre, Rory Dawson, Eve Dennis, Darcy Eimermacher, Jackson Thompson, Eva Solan- Raso, Zara Ralph, Remy Pahor, Priscilla Lia, Cohen Valerio and Georgia Woods. Furthermore, these Oscar Song achieved an outstanding result of a Distinction.

These eight Grade 4 students each received an excellent result of a Credit:, Brendan Chan, Mathew Spooner, Alana Saxon, Michael Ferraro, Alana Powell, Ariana Duke, Meera Spratt and Christian Ghattas. Furthermore, these three Grade 4 students achieved an outstanding result of a Distinction: Kaiden Theophilus,Tyler LI and Erin Chittuparambil, 

These nine Grade 5 students each received an excellent result of a Credit: Audrey Dawson, Emmett Baker, Kyan Stone, Isabella Tran, Daniel Zhang, Charlotte Hingston, Matilda Eimermacher, Saneyah Kanjiani and Milia Kaminski. Furthermore, these two Grade 5 students achieved an outstanding result of a Distinction: Martin John and Alina Leo

These six Grade 6 students received excellent results of a Credit: Ryan Chittuparambil, Daniel Jacob, Claire Sequeira, Tashi Limskul, Christian Wong and Bianca Younan. 

A special mention must go to one student in our school  Anthony De Mel who achieved not only a High Distinction, but also won the ‘Best in School Award for St Simon’s’.
