Swimming:  

JLC will be heading to the pool next week (week 9), for our Water Familiarisation Program. Please refer to the letter sent home for further information. 

Grade 2 Assembly Prayer:  

Grade two will be on assembly prayer on Monday 16th at 9:00am for our final school assembly. Parents/careers are welcome to come along and watch. This assembly will run longer than usual.  

Class Parties: 

On Friday the 13th both Grade One and Two will be having an end of year class party to celebrate all their learning. If all students could please bring along a small plate with something to share. Please NO NUTS.  

Inquiry: 

Throughout the last two weeks, the students in JLC have been exploring chemical science through some experiments.  

The "Ice Magic" experiment introduced them to concepts like physical changes and the interaction of materials at different temperatures. The students then got to enjoy the end result by eating their ice cream.  

Next, we made some playdough! This provided an opportunity to learn about chemical reactions and the combination of ingredients to form a new substance. This hands-on activity also encouraged creativity, as they explored different ways to use their homemade playdough.
