From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Our students' efforts across the school in classrooms has been great to see. There is lots of teaching and learning happening and in between all of that, our Year 1 and Year 2 students are having a blast at Swimming Lessons. Thank you to our teachers who are in the midst of report writing and to all our staff who are preparing for the end of year activities coming up!

With just over 3 weeks of school days remaining, it is important that we keep the momentum going and encourage our students to remain focused for each day and engaged in their learning. Please continue to assist your child/ren with being ready for each day of learning and continue to encourage healthy habits, plenty of sleep, a healthy breakfast and being punctual to school.

Kindergarten Orientation 2025

It was wonderful to welcome our Kindergarten parents/caregivers for 2025 to the Kindergarten Information Session yesterday afternoon. There was excitement in the room as the parents/caregivers prepared to embark on their child/ren's learning journey in 2025, graduating as the Class of 2032 from St Helena's Catholic Primary School. We look forward to welcoming them all back next week with our Kindergarten student cohort on Wednesday 20 November at 9:00am to discover further the Kindergarten learning spaces, both inside and outside.

Special Visitor

We were very lucky to have His Eminence Cardinal Peter Ebere Okpaleke from Nigeria visit us at St Helena's last week with Fr Bona and prayed with us during the Xavier Liturgy. His Eminence urged us all to be like St Francis Xavier and invite others to share in our blessings and spread God's message. Endeavouring to do Something Beautiful for God every day!

Annual Community Meeting

The Annual Community Meeting for the P&F and Catholic School Advisory Council will be taking place next Thursday 21 November @ 6:00pm. Further information has been shared in regard to vacant positions and nominations for 2025 on the Catholic School Advisory Council and P&F Committee.

I encourage our parents/carergivers to consider joining the P&F Executive committee with positions that require filling in 2025. Please feel free to come and see me if you have any questions about these roles. A great opportunity to get involved and contribute! It would also be great to see at least one family member at the School's Annual Community Meeting on Thursday 21 November, to hear about the year that was at SHCPS and some of the plans for 2025 as well!

Year 5 Summer Carnival

Good luck to our Year 5 students who will be attending the Summer Carnival and representing SHCPS in cricket, tennis and ultimate frisbee. Thank you in advance to the staff and parent/caregiver helpers on the day.

Little Adventurers

We continue accepting enrolments for 2025 for our Little Adventurers Pre-Kindy Program. We also have limited spaces still available for Kindergarten, Year 2 and Year 5 in 2025.
