Principal's Report
We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.
May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.
Year 2 Camp Experience
What a fabulous day our Year 2 students experienced together last Friday. A play at the Victoria Park Playground, a disco, a picnic and pizza in pyjamas with a movie to finish. It was delightful to see our students snuggled up at the end of a big day, with their friends in the Gym. A big thank you to our Year 2 teachers for their organisation and presence at this very positive event.
Transition sessions
Transition sessions are happening across all areas of the school to ensure a seamless transition into the 2025 school year for all of our students. Another very successful information session was provided to our 2025 Foundation families and our Year Six students are beginning to engage in sessions to support their entry into secondary school. Localised sessions for transition between classes at our school are also being planned to support year level and learning space changes.
