Exploring the Impact of Interfaith Groups

This term, our Year 11 Religion Education students have explored the transformative power of interfaith groups, researching how diverse religious communities collaborate to promote understanding, peace and social change. By investigating various interfaith organisations, they discovered the potential of these groups in addressing issues like poverty, inequality and conflict. Inspired by stories of interfaith initiatives tackling local community needs, this research not only broadens their understanding of different faith traditions but also prepares them to be compassionate leaders in our diverse world.

Supreme Court Excursion

Angelina Daskalos and Bianca Thomas  were two of the Year 11 Legal Studies students who attended a recent excursion to the Supreme Court.  Here they have summarised their experiences on the day.

On Wednesday, 23 October the Year 11 Legal Studies class visited the Supreme Court on William Street to gain insight into the functions of the court and also be able to speak with some of the judges and other legal personnel.

We had the privilege of being able to talk with Justice Gobbo and her two associates and learn more about her strong background in law, which was highly captivating and enabled us to learn much more about her time working for the courts.  We also had the opportunity to observe a real-life case and learn about how case proceedings play out which significantly aids our studies and gives us a real-life insight into possible career pathways.  We are all extremely grateful to be able to have had this opportunity.
