Mathematics First Place Award

Congratulations to four Year 7 Red students who have been placed first in an Australian wide online mathematics competition.  The successful students are: Chloe Li, Chelsea Huynh, Kim Trac and Amy Tran.  The students should be proud of the way they prepared, shared and contributed in each round.  Well done Chloe, Chelsea, Kim and Amy!

Chloe Li, the Captain of the group described the event:

“The competition is a Western Australian Maths Association competition called "havesumfunonline".  My team did three rounds: two being 10/10 and one being 8/10.  We obtained first place but had the same points as another team.  However, the ranking also included a time element, so we won by being an hour faster.  Overall, my team had a lot of fun and learnt new skills such as teamwork and listening to each other.
