Victorian Reading Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the students (and families) who joined the Premiers’ Reading Challenge this year. After many years of being rested at Valkstone Primary School, this year saw the return of the Challenge and 188 students enrolled. I was thrilled to see students from all year levels joining, reading their books and publishing reviews on the books they had read. I would also like to acknowledge the adults who helped register every completed book as well as helping with many of the published reviews. Students who successfully completed the challenge will be receiving their certificates this week. Some interesting facts about Valkstone’s participation in the Challenge:

• 109 students completed the Premiers’ Reading Challenge
• 3,921 books were read
• 1,542 reviews were written
• ‘Where is the Green Sheep?’ was the most read book amongst Valkstone students
