Ryan’s Rambling
Dear Families,
I hope this finds you well. It is quite a warm end to the week; however, it does seem that there is some rain on the way, followed by some cooler weather across next week.
As you will probably know, next week is the Statewide Transition Day for most Government schools. Our departing Grade 6 students will enjoy a day at their respective high schools (Government), whilst our current and future students will enjoy half a day in their new classes for 2025. Thank you to everyone for your patience over the last few weeks whilst we completed the staffing and class placement. It is always such a huge job that does take a number of weeks. Please note that classes will be set next week and there is no scope for any changes.
Our current Student Leaders have been busily preparing for Dana’s Got Talent. This popular item returns to our school after a couple of years’ hiatuses. Classes have been busy with auditions and selecting final acts. The event will happen on Wednesday, from about 12:30 onwards. Our Student Leaders have taken it upon themselves to coordinate and lead the majority of this even, so I am very proud of their collective efforts. It should be a fun, light-hearted event.
Our staff have been busily finalizing assessments and reports. Your child’s Semester Report will be available via Sentral from the 17th of December.
Next Friday, we will host our Values Assembly for this term. Our Final Assembly will be a light-hearted event and will be held on the final day of school at approximately 12:30pm, before our Grade 6 departing students ring the bell and traverse the guard of honour.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Ryan 😊
