This term in Literacy 1/2A, have been learning all about narratives. Students are discovering how authors create interesting characters, describe settings and sequence events to make stories engaging.

They are planning and creating their own stories that include a beginning, middle and end. Students are practising using time connectives (first, next, after that), prepositional phrases to show where things happen and descriptive language to make their writing interesting. It’s wonderful to see their creativity shine as they bring their ideas to life through storytelling!

In Mathematics, students have been learning to identify and read o’clock, half past and quarter -hour times on analogue clocks and digital clocks. They enjoyed using classroom clocks to show different times and explain what they notice about the hands at o'clock, half past or quarter to the hour.

Through hand on activities and real-life examples students developed their confidence in telling the time!
