Principal's Message
Ms Louise Reynolds
It's great to be back!
It’s hard to believe that six months have flown by, as I've been relieving as principal at Croydon PS! During my time there, I gained insights into the diverse strengths and unique challenges within another vibrant school community. I was inspired by the dedication of staff, the enthusiasm of students, and the strong partnerships with families that together created a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
Some highlights from my time at Croydon included:

Now that I have returned back home to GEPS, I’ve been reflecting on all that makes our community special. I was moved by the warm welcome back and by noticing the resilience, creativity, and commitment among our students, staff, and families. Everywhere I go across our school I see happy students - working hard, smiling teachers and admin staff who are bringing out the best in others. The executive team have shared their achievements over the 6 months regarding our whole school goal of improving student writing and I'm so pleased with the sense of JOY that exudes from every classroom!

I'm looking forward to term 4 - a term where we keep learning, right up until mid-December; a term where we reflect and celebrate how far students have progressed this year; and a term where we acknowledge whole-school growth and put plans into place for next year. We have a lot to do - but we'll do it together.
Don't forget that in hot weather GEPS is the place to be! We have fully air-conditioned classrooms; a chilled water refill station (thanks to the P&C); and plenty of games for inside lunch when it's hot. We are heading into hot weather season, remember - school is still mandatory!!
Here's to term 4...Bring it on!
