Our Faith Journey
A joyful celebration of faith — congratulations to our newly confirmed students!
Luke 18:1-8
Jesus urges his disciples to pray and not lose heart, for God hears and answers prayers.
On the 10th of October, the Year 6 students had a Reflection Day at St Patrick's Cathedral to celebrate who they are, what they believe, and reflect on how they can grow in kindness, unity, and service to others. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise that, no matter our background or faith, each of us has something unique and valuable to contribute.
Throughout the day, students were encouraged to participate fully in all activities and to be open and respectful toward everyone present. Following the rules helped ensure that our time together was safe, meaningful, and enjoyable for all. The students participated in Holy Mass at the cathedral and had a personal tour facilitated by Fr Andrew.
Students took time to read and reflect on the thoughtful messages shared by parents. We are sincerely grateful, dear parents, for your heartfelt word,s as they were warmly received.
The Reflection Day provided a space to reflect, connect, and consider ways we can continue to live out our values in our daily lives.
Thanks to Mrs Russell, Miss Zhang and Fr Andrew for making it a memorable day for our Year 6 students.

Grade 6 Retreat Day at St Patrick's Cathedral

You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden... Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14–16

I joined fellow pilgrims in the Inspired to Lead program, sponsored by MACS, to deepen my faith and strengthen my vision to lead with purpose, serving our school community with courage and compassion.

We journeyed through places rich in faith, history, and culture. In Dublin, we visited St Patrick’s Cathedral, a powerful symbol of Ireland’s Christian heritage, and Trinity College, where we viewed the ancient Book of Kells, a stunning testament to the beauty of Scripture. We continued to Glendalough, walking in the footsteps of St Kevin among the tranquil monastic ruins, and explored the medieval grandeur of Kilkenny Castle. At St Declan’s Well, we paused for prayer and reflection on the enduring faith of the early Irish saints. Our visit to Nano Nagle Place reminded us of the courage and compassion that shaped Catholic education. In Knock, we were deeply moved to stand where Our Lady, St Joseph, and St John the Evangelist appeared, a sacred place of hope and healing. We had the honour of visiting St Brigid’s home in Kildare, honouring her legacy of generosity, strength, and devotion, reminding me of the charism of our own school started by the Brigidine sisters in 1955. This pilgrimage has renewed my faith and deepened my understanding of the Irish spiritual heart.
