Year 10 Examinations

Year 10 families have been shared into the Term 4 Assessment Schedule which includes information on the Year 10 Examinations. Students have also been emailed a document outlining examination rules and expectations. We encourage Year 10 students and their families to read through these carefully. The exams provide an opportunity to develop skills in time management, organisation and exam strategy in preparation for their pre-tertiary studies.

Friday 21 November is swotvac and Year 10 students are not required to attend formal lessons on this day. The library will be available for private study. Year 10 students who chose to be on campus are required to remain in the library during regular lesson times.

Friday 28 November is set aside as an exam catch-up day. Students are not required to attend on this day.

Further information will be shared closer to the exams. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher, tutor, Aaron Davey or Kate Baldry

School References for Year 12 Students

Due Monday 27 October

Each year, leaving students have the opportunity to request a reference from Friends'. A reference is an important document that can be used to support residential college, scholarship and job applications.

To streamline the process and ensure all students have equal access, reference requests must be made by students via the form emailed by Kate Baldry on the Monday 2 September. Student references are completed by their tutor with input from up to three teachers who are well placed to comment. The form will be closed on Monday 27 October. Note that this process is the only way students are able to request an official school reference from Friends' school staff

Please be in touch with Kate Baldry, Amy Harris, Adam Chambers or your child’s tutor if you would like any more information about the process.
