As I walked over to the soccer pitch, I was as happy as Reece Walsh after the finals. I lined up with my friends. I sat next to Levi on the bus when we talked and talked and talked. It was so fun.
When we got there, we were as excited as a rugby player when they are winning and there is 5 seconds left. We hopped off and ran over as fast as a cheetah!
We got into our groups, mine was Dash , Harvey , Hudson, Lincoln, and Seb.
Then we headed off to the animals. We went to the park and I hurt my knee. The first animal we saw was an emu. Then we saw a goose that honked at us! Next, we moved on to the reptiles. It was packed, so we left, and then we saw a koala. After that, it was the cheetah, then the hippos.
We went on the safari bus with this little kid in front of us, who was so funny. I saw an Indian antelope, a zebra, a giraffe and a rhino family. The little kid in front of us started putting her tongue out at us, and after a 1-hour trip, we were done.

At Werribee Zoo, the ¾’s all got to see lots of animals. Some animals were big and some were small. A zookeeper gave us really interesting facts about Koalas. Three of the koala’s names were Nyala, Poppy and Ruby. After we saw the koalas, we had to deal with fighting. After the fighting was over, we went to see all of the Australian animals. The animals were so adorable. We also went on a safari and saw lots of African animals. We got to see antelopes, rhinos, zebras, and, of course, giraffes. The giraffes were so close to us, and it was so tall! I also forgot to mention the bison and the wild horses. After we got off the safari, we saw lions, meerkats and cheetahs. They were roaring because they were hungry. After all that fun, we packed up to leave and got on a super comfy bus that nearly made me doze off. Once we arrived at school, the bell rang, and we all left super tired, but we still had a good time.

Tuesday,
We felt as excited as meerkats as we lined up on the soccer pitch, ready to board the bus and head to the zoo. As we took our seats on the bus, we clipped in our seatbelts as it started moving.
When we arrived at the zoo, we leapt out of the bus like kangaroos. As we walked in the zoo, we gulped our fruit snack down like a python with a mouse. Then we got in our groups. We were in Julie's group with Skylar, Charlotte, Evylen, Rilee, and Hunter. Then we were ready to start looking at the animals.
First, we went to the gorillas. When we got there, they were asleep. So we moved on to the monkeys sitting in a tree, who looked very warm in the sun. Next, we went to the hippos, and they were lying down in the sun and very wet and rough.
After a while at 11:30 we walked to the safari buses to wait for one to arrive so we could hop on. At 11:40 we hopped on our bus.
First, we saw the camels. They looked as cool as a cucumber; one was eating hay. We just wanted to run out of the bus and cuddle them.
Next, we saw the gazelles; most of them were lying down, others were eating grass like it was their heart's desire.
After that, we drove up a hill and saw some bison. Their hair looked shaggy and very fluffy. Then we saw the Przewalski horses. They were tan, with black manes and tails. We also found out that they had never been domesticated.
Next, we saw the ostriches, one of them was very close to the safari bus. It was so cool!
After that, we saw the antelopes. They were hiding in the trees, eating some leaves. They were very cute!
Then we went down the hill over the river. As we went over, we could see the hippos again. Then we entered the plains area and drove past some zebras eating grass.
Then we drove past the giraffes, and they were very close to the bus. One of them was eating leaves from the ground.
After the giraffes, we saw the rhinos, there were two adults and one baby. The baby was so cute!
Then we got back to the station and went to the elephant trail.
Once we got to the elephant trail, we started to see the elephants. We saw them eating hay. We also saw a baby one. It was very cute! Then we walked to the lions.
One of the lions was so close to the glass on the bonnet of the fake car that it could go through the glass. They were really cool!
After the lions, we started heading to the cheetahs.
Sadly, the cheetahs weren't there, so we left and went to the meerkats.
Once we got to the meerkats, we instantly saw one standing on the rock like it was the king of the meerkats, and then we looked down and saw a meerkat sunbaking in the nice hot sun. After that, we saw one lying down next to the other, sunbaking; they were so cute!
Then we went to the playground. It was so fun!!
After we left the playground, it was time to go home, so the buses came to pick us up and we started driving back to school. We were a little late, but it was worth it!

Tuesday, the 21st of October 2025,
Sometimes school can feel like walking into the lion enclosure and being engulfed and devoured alive. Well, that didn’t really happen to me, cause we were outside the stainless steel, but it could have happened. Yesterday was one of the best school days of my life, even though I wasn't at school. Yesterday , we went to the zoo!
All of the year 3/4 classes took a terribly long bus ride to Werribee Zoo near the city, and I have to say it’s one of my favourite zoos. When we got there, we found a shady spot, ate our fruit snacks, and got sorted into groups. I was with a lady named Rena, and soon enough, we were exploring the big, big zoo.
First, we went to see the gorillas. It was sleeping in its den, trying not to be seen. Then we saw something even more exciting. There were two geese with five baby ducklings sitting to the side. They were so adorable, cuter than my cat,s and I wouldn't say that about anything. It was hard to walk away, but we did. We went to see more amazing and awesome animals.
We saw loads of cool and spectacular animals, but I think the lions were my favourite so far. A lioness was sitting on the car that goes into the enclosure. It was really close so we took a picture in front of it. We saw a couple more animals before boarding the safari bus, which, to say the least, was very fun and full of cool facts about some of our favourite African animals. We saw loads of fantastic animals, including ostriches, wild horses, and some types of waterbuck. But then I saw something much more exciting and rare than anything you could see in the wild - a giraffe sitting down! It was much more fun than any of the birthday parties I've been to combined!
After that, we saw the cat maze, which was really fun too. Then we gathered our stuff and got ready to take the bus ride home. Seriously , I thought that bus had no AC at all. We got back to school 15 minutes late due to traffic, but I didn’t care. I was too busy reflecting on the day's adventures. Well, that’s all for today, so Molly’s signing out.
