Principals Report

Dear Parents, Families and Friends,

Today at St Mary’s, we celebrated World Teachers’ Day and took the time to recognise and thank our amazing staff for everything they do. Every day, our teachers go above and beyond to support and inspire our students. From creating engaging lessons to nurturing each child’s growth, their dedication, care, and enthusiasm make a real difference in our school community. Our staff at St Mary’s do much more than teach, they foster a sense of belonging and community for every student. Whether it’s supporting playtimes, leading creative arts and music, guiding faith formation, or mentoring students during camps and excursions, our staff contribute to making St Mary’s a warm, welcoming, and vibrant place to learn.

As we look forward to the Inglewood Alive Festival this coming Sunday, we want to extend a huge thank-you in advance to all families and community members who have volunteered to help us prepare for the event or support on the day. The festival offers a great chance for our school to connect with the wider community, and we’re excited to share this experience with everyone. If you’d still like to lend a hand, we would love your support. As there are some room on the roster for serving. Hope to see you there!

Our Energy Breakthrough Parent Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 5:00-5:30pm at St Mary’s. We invite all parents of participating students to join us as we discuss the key details in the lead-up to this exciting event. The meeting will cover logistics, including travel arrangements, team schedules, equipment checks, and what students will need to bring to the event. It will also be an opportunity for families to ask questions and find out how they can assist with final preparations. This is an important step in ensuring our students are ready for the challenge and can enjoy a safe, well-organised, and memorable experience representing St Mary’s.

Finally, mark your calendars for Thursday, November 14th, as we come together to celebrate St Mary’s Feast Day. The day will begin with a beautiful Feast Day Mass, where we warmly welcome grandparents to join us in this special celebration of faith and community.

Following the Mass, students will lead a special activity with their grandparents, creating a meaningful opportunity for connection and shared joy. This will be followed by a morning tea for our guests to enjoy.

In the afternoon, the celebrations will continue with a variety of exciting activities for all students. We look forward to a joyful day filled with faith, fun, and community.

With such engaging experiences and activities complementing our learning, we look forward to a wonderful fortnight celebrating all that makes St Mary’s such a special place to be.
