We have had a wonderful start to the term with the students settling back into a normal routine after the chaos of a Production term last month! We are looking forward to another jam packed term with lots of learning and lots of fun!
This week, we received many outstanding written applications for our 2026 captaincy roles. The speech component will take place on Tuesday, 21st October. We wish all applicants the very best of luck and look forward to hearing their ideas and vision for our school.

Next Friday (24th October), Year 5 students will be participating in the Courage to Care Program. This 90 minute session promotes acceptance of diversity, transforms bystander behaviour and inspires students to become upstanders in their own communities. They will learn about the dangers of racism, prejudice, discrimination and bullying. It will be an incredibly beneficial session for all students, and is closely aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
This program is run by trained and experienced volunteers, so is delivered to schools for free. In order for them to continue to run their program, however, they ask for schools to make donations to assist them in covering the costs of training, resources, planning and supporting local and rural communities.
In order for us to contribute a donation, Year 5 students are invited to wear free dress on the incursion day (Friday 24th October), and bring along a donation up to $10. All of the money fundraised will be given to the program so they can continue to deliver their sessions to schools across Victoria. The donation is not compulsory (any amount helps!), and will not impact your child's participation in the program, but we would be incredibly grateful for anything you can spare.
A friendly reminder that payment and permission for students to participate in the upcoming Interrelate program closes this Sunday, 19 October.
Thank you to all families who have already completed payment and permission.

Our Year 5 students have loved supporting the 2026 Foundation Transition mornings so far this term! 5SD and 5KM had an amazing time welcoming our newest learners and giving them a taste of “big-kid school”. Classes 5KY, 5DW and 5CB are eagerly awaiting their turn in the coming weeks. We’re so proud of the leadership and care they’re showing.

Today, all of the students went to the Library and had an early preview of the amazing books, posters and knick-knacks for sale at the annual Book Fair. An email was sent out to all families with the details of how and when to purchase items from the stock available. It is attached again here for your convenience.
