Creative Arts

Welcome to 2026 Creative Arts
This year, we look forward to many opportunities for our students to showcase their performing talents and learning experiences.
Creative Arts involves Music, Drama and Dance and all students are engaged in these learning experiences as part of their natural growth and development as part of the K-6 syllabus outcomes.
During Semester One the following classes will be studying the topics and performing:
Kindergarten: Tempo (fast/slow) with ‘Pinocchio’.
Year One: Pitch (high/low notes) with ‘Croak’.
Year Two: Rhythm (long/short notes) with ‘The Litter Muncher’.
Year Three: Rhythm (steady beat) with ‘Dancing ‘Round the World’.
Year Four: Percussion Tone Colour (different sounds) with ‘Folk Dancing’.
Seniors: Elements in Music (7 concepts) with ‘Alice, the Musical’.
Our CAPA group (creative arts performance activities) have chosen ‘Treachery at Traitors’ Quay’ as their musical production for Semester One.
CAPA Children from Years 1-6 rehearse on Tuesday at lunchtime. New performers welcome.
