Welcome to Richmond West Primary School. We value language, celebrate our diverse community and strive to support every child to become a confident, socially responsible and resilient learner.Our School Council plays an important role in shaping the direction of RWPS. To continue building a strong, vibrant school, we are inviting new parents to join one of our School Council Subcommittees.Joining a subcommittee is a great way to:

• support your child’s education
• meet other families
• contribute your skills
• strengthen our bilingual and multicultural school community

This is an Expression of Interest only. No experience is required, and all parents are welcome.

About Our Subcommittees

1. Finance Subcommittee

Oversees the school’s financial performance and helps ensure resources are used wisely for student learning.Useful skill sets:

• accounting and finance
• auditing
• budgeting and forecasting
• governance and risk management.

2. Fundraising and Community Engagement (FACE) Subcommittee

Plans and coordinates fundraising activities and builds partnerships across our culturally diverse community.Useful skill sets:

• event planning
• communications and marketing
• grant writing
• community development
• design, digital content or social media.

3. Buildings and Grounds Subcommittee

Supports maintenance and improvements to school facilities, ensuring safe, functional and welcoming spaces for all students.Useful skill sets:

• project management
• trades and building knowledge
• landscaping or environmental design
• OH&S or risk assessment.
