Yr 12 Kangaroobie Camp

We are pleased to advise that we are running a Year 12 three day camp in Term 2, 2026 from Wednesday 22nd April - Friday 24th April at Kangaroobie in Princetown, Victoria.

The Year 12 camp is a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen their bond as a cohort with their peers, their Year Student Manager and many staff from our College. Students will participate in team-building activities that will strengthen their resilience during their academic school year.

Accommodation:

Students will stay on site at Kangaroobie, in the bunk dorms. Please note: bed linen (including bed sheets, a pillow, pillow case and bath towel are not provided, students will need to pack this in their belongings). If there are specific requirements for your child that we should be made aware of, please contact a member of the Student Engagement Team as early as possible to provide details.

Meals:

All meals will be provided during the three day camp, except for lunch on the first day of the camp - Wednesday 22nd April. Students will need to bring their own lunch from home. If your child has dietary requirements for all other meals provided by the campsite, please contact Tim Harris by no later than Friday 6th March in Term 1 to ensure these details are passed along to the catering staff at Camp Kangaroobie so they can make the necessary adjustments to their menu planning.

Our normal schedule of Year 12 classes will be cancelled for the Year 12 cohort over the three day camp, however those students who do not attend will be expected during ‘regular school hours’ for an alternate program run at the college.

The cost of the Year 12 Kangaroobie camp is $350 per student. Homestead supports student attendance at the camp and have subsidised a proportion of the overall associated costs. The camps, sports and excursions fund (CSEF) can be utilised to secure payment for this camp.

We will endeavour to work with all families that require financial support and organise payment plans where required to assist all Year 12 students to have the opportunity to attend this camp. If you wish to arrange a payment plan (pay in installments), please contact the front office and speak with Neena Gusain - prior to the payment being due.

We will be looking to finalise payments by Wednesday 18th March 2026.
