House Culture  – Term 1 Update

The House Leader Team is proud to uphold the values of Homestead Senior Secondary College (HSSC): Purpose, Curiosity, Resilience and Innovation. This term, we are focusing on the Bunjil value of Purpose, encouraging students to act with pride and commitment.

Our Year 10 students are settling in well and embracing senior school life, while our Year 11 and 12 students continue to model teamwork, respect and leadership as true Homesteaders.

We are especially proud of our Student Leadership Team, who took great pride in hosting events such as the Valentine’s Day and House Basketball tournaments. Their leadership initiatives and commitment modelled the Homestead values and helped create a positive and inclusive school environment.

A highlight this term was the Valentine’s Day event on 13th February, where students shared thoughtful notes and love-heart lollies to spread kindness across the school. The House Basketball Tournament was also a fantastic success, with excellent participation and sportsmanship from all houses. Congratulations to Gillard House for winning the competition!

We look forward to our upcoming House event on 2nd March and encourage all students to get involved and continue demonstrating our school values.
