Deputy Principal

Welcome back to an exciting Term 2. I hope everyone had a relaxing break and have enjoyed hearing their daughters return to speaking positively and passionately about their Term 2 learning experiences. So, let’s talk about the term so far.
Academic Reports
By the end of this term, Year 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 will have receive a semester report, with Year 10 students receiving their reports in early Term 3. This change has been made to accommodate their new Year 10 Examinations running in Week 7. These reports will be published on the Sentral Parent and Student Portals. Should parents have any issues in accessing these reports, please contact the school. We welcome your feedback or questions about the new report format.
Beverly Hills Girls High School – Podcast launches!
It is with great pleasure that I am excited to share our first episode of our very own Beverly Hills Girls High School podcast, Talk to Somebody. This episode is hosted by two outstanding Year 8 students, Frances Paynter & Shabnum Hassan, along with music created and performed by two talented Year 12 students, Ayshia B & Petrelia M.
The podcast will see a rotating roster of student hosts and guests that will celebrate the ideas, values and experiences that make our school community unique.
If you find some time on your commute home today or into work tomorrow, please enjoy the first episode:
Parent Teacher Night
On Wednesday the 29th of April, we invited parents and students into the hall for our first Parent Teacher evening of 2026. The hall was a buzz with students and parents from all year groups. With a strong turnout, a cacophony of community was heard loud and clear as teachers shared with parents’ strategies and insights into their daughter’s learning.
Senior Study workshops update & Year 12 milestone
The Senior Study Workshops continue to be a success among our Year 11 and Year 12 students with sessions that are targeting specific KLA learning areas being offered by our outstanding pedagogical experts. Subjects across the KLA spread have been presented to students, along with our very own principal, Ms Iemma, recently delivering to Year 12 students on how to use AI for HSC Success. Here is a blurb from the session: “Are you feeling overwhelmed by your HSC workload? Looking for cutting-edge methods to maximise your study efficiency? Join fellow Year 12 students as we explore how artificial intelligence tools can transform your exam preparation! This group is perfect for HSC students of all ability levels who want to work smarter, not harder. Whether you're struggling with specific subjects or aiming for top band results, AI tools can help you reach your academic goals. Limited spots available.” The session instantly filled up and feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with another session being offered at a later date due to popular demand.
What’s ahead
- Year 10 Examinations are happening in Week 7. A timetable of their exams have been emailed to Year 10 students and parents.
- Aspire Assemblies will be held in Term 3. Theses assemblies are an opportunity to recognise the hard work and outstanding learning of our students. More information will be available at the end of term.
- Subject selections: Students in years 7 to 10 are currently going through the process of selecting their subjects for semester 2. Year 10 students in particular, are always excited at this time of year, as they get to choice from an extensive range of options which will go a long way to preparing students for senior studies. More information, including a Careers Exp and Subject Selection Night will be available in the coming weeks.
Warm regards,
Geremy Crithary
Deputy Principal
