Year 11 News

It’s hard to believe that our Year 11 students are already halfway through their first senior year. Over the past term, students have continued to settle into the routines and expectations of Stage 6, developing positive study habits and finding their rhythm across their senior courses. It has been wonderful to see many students growing in confidence and independence as they navigate the demands of senior school.
As students move further into their senior studies, maintaining consistent attendance remains extremely important. We continue to encourage all Year 11 students to aim for attendance above 90%, as regular attendance has a significant impact on academic success, wellbeing and engagement in learning. Attending school consistently ensures students do not miss important course content, assessment preparation, practical learning experiences and valuable teacher support. Pleasingly, many students have demonstrated strong commitment to their attendance this term, and we encourage all students to continue building positive habits as they prepare for the transition into Year 12.
Students should also be aware that their Semester 1 reports will be released very soon. These reports provide an important opportunity for reflection on their progress and achievements so far, and we encourage students to use teacher feedback to set goals for the remainder of the year.
Year 11 students also recently enjoyed participating in the school Athletics Carnival. The day was filled with great energy, participation and house spirit, with many students getting involved both on and off the track. It was fantastic to see students supporting one another, competing enthusiastically and contributing to such a positive atmosphere across the day.
