Family and Faith

Welcome back to Term 2, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are ready to immerse themselves into the Winter months. We have lots of great things to share and celebrate this term at Our Lady Star of the Sea Miranda!

SPaR continues in the classrooms this term and it is a great opportunity for parents to share, pray and reflect with their child. It is a wonderful way to share your faith and love of God. All SPaRs will be held in the classrooms this term and parents, grandparents and carers are invited to come along to share, pray and reflect on our faith with your child.

Dates are: 

• Year 2 13th May 2pm
• Year 4 14th May 2pm
• Kinder 28th May 2pm
• Year 1 3rd June 2pm

Mother's Day

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming celebrations honoring our mothers and the significant mother figures in our lives. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a school community and show our appreciation for everything they do.

• Mother’s Day Stall: On Thursday, May 7, students will have the chance to visit our stall and select a special gift for their loved ones.
• Community Breakfast & Liturgy: On Friday, May 8, we invite you to join us starting at 7:30 am. We will begin with a shared breakfast followed by a beautiful liturgy to reflect on the gift of motherhood.

Please note we will once again be having a very special raffle so bring along some coins to grab your raffle tickets to be in the draw for some great prizes!

Sunday is family time!

It is time to restore the sacredness of precious FAMILY TIME. Our Catholic tradition identifies SUNDAY as a day of gathering to worship and breaking bread together. Would you like to celebrate and re-connect with your family? Here is the perfect opportunity!

Come to Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Miranda Parish at 10:30 am then enjoy lunch at a local Italian restaurant in Gymea- FIOR. This local establishment is offering children free dining on Sundays. For reservations phone 02 9534 220 or book online here.      

Playgroup in Term 2

Playgroup is held on Fridays in the Lower Parish Centre and will recommence for Term 2 in Week 4 on Friday 15th May.

All children under school age are welcome to come along and join in the fun and meet new friends with Mums, Dads or even Grandparents.
