Community Connections

Warramunda Lone Pine Ceremony

Two of our College Captains, our Lone Pine Ambassadors and our Primary Signing Students attended Warramunda’s Lone Pine Service.  It was a beautiful service and we are very honoured to be able to attend. At the conclusion of the service our students attended afternoon tea with the residents.

ANZAC Day Cookies

Our Lone Pine Ambassadors and friends visited Warramunda Nursing Home, where we spent time baking ANZAC cookies together in the spirit of ANZAC Day.  It was a wonderful morning filled with laughter, connection, and shared memories.  We finished off with a lovely morning tea together.  Those biscuits were delicious.

‘For What They Have Done, This We Will Do’

Our students were busy placing flags throughout the Kyabram Cemetery as part of our special project.  This morning they carefully placed flags on the graves of the fallen men and women laid to rest there, showing respect and gratitude for their service and sacrifice.  This year, we were proud to complete and additional two sections of the cemetery.

ANZAC Day Town Service

Some of our staff and students attended the annual Kyabram Town ANZAC Service.  We had two of our College Captains and our Lone Pine Ambassador's representing our school as well as a number of staff members.

Twelve of our Year 3/4 students performed at this service (along with our College’s ANZAC Service and the Warramunda Lone Pine Service). The students outstanding effort and the way they demonstrated our College Values made this a very truly special performance.

Footy Tipping

Some of our students enjoy regular visits to Warramunda Nursing Home, helping residents with their weekly football tipping.

This has become a much-loved tradition, and it’s always wonderful to hear the lively banter, shared stories, and plenty of laughs along the way. The connections being built between our students and the residents are truly special, and something everyone looks forward to each week.

Well done to all involved for bringing so much joy to others—there were smiles all around! 😊
