We pray for the Sisters of Mercy, who established our school and for the priests who have served at St. Mary’s.

It is through their vision, determination and strong faith that we enjoy the benefits of a Catholic Education here in Mooroopna.

We are proud to be a Mercy School, where the values of love and justice are taught and lived every day.

Mother’s Day Mass 2026

Last Friday, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful whole-school Mass. We are incredibly grateful to all the mothers, carers, and families who joined us for this special celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to the students and their mothers who took part in the special roles throughout the Mass — your involvement helped make the occasion so meaningful and memorable for our school community.

Thank you also to everyone who sent in personal photos so we could create a beautiful photo reflection.

Past Present Future - Along the Track article

The latest edition of Along the Track entitled “Past Present Future” is attached to today’s newsletter.

During a recent parish planned giving campaign, we were confronted by the rather challenging question: “If your church disappeared tomorrow, would your community miss it?” Or put another way, can we say “Our town is a better place because of our church.”Christ gives us a choice to follow him – or not. We weren’t called to be passengers, but disciples, followers of him, promoters of his message in word and in action. What message do we want our church to give our community today? What does it need?
