Visual Arts Enrichment Excursion

Julius von Bismarck – This is not the Storm 17th April – 14th June ACCA

Through kinetic sculpture, photography, and immersive video installations Julius von Bismarck: This is not the storm offered a space for wonder and experimentation. We were introduced to large-scale collaborative works inspired by the themes of nature and technology. Adopting von Bismarck’s playful and scientific enquiry to artmaking the activities drew upon humankinds’ relationship with nature. We explored the art of the pendulum, balance, and the beauty of incedental mark making. This was a most interesting and thought provoking experience, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
